Clinical Supervision

Supporting the Next Generation of Mental Health Professionals

At OCD & Anxiety Treatment of Houston (OATH Therapy), we are committed to fostering the growth and development of future mental health professionals. We offer clinical supervision for graduate-level interns and Licensed Professional Counselor-Associates (LPC-Associates) pursuing their supervised clinical hours toward full licensure. Supervision provides a supportive, structured environment where emerging clinicians can gain expertise in evidence-based treatments, ethical practice, and professional development.

Our Approach to Supervision

Supervision at OATH Therapy is designed to provide comprehensive guidance in working with individuals experiencing Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Anxiety Disorders, and related conditions. Under the leadership of Saharah Shrout, MA, LPC-S, our supervision model integrates:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Interventions
  • Case Conceptualization and Treatment Planning
  • Professional Ethics and Boundaries
  • Building a Strong Therapeutic Alliance

Through individual and group supervision, we ensure that trainees receive personalized feedback, case consultation, and skill-building opportunities that enhance their clinical confidence and competence.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from:

  • Graduate-level clinical interns currently enrolled in a clinical mental health counseling program or related field
  • LPC-Associates who have completed their graduate coursework and are pursuing their required supervised clinical hours toward full licensure in Texas
  • Individuals with a passion for OCD, anxiety, and evidence-based treatment approaches

To be considered for a supervision placement at OATH Therapy, applicants should submit the following materials:

  • Letter of interest detailing your clinical interests, experience, and goals for supervision
  • Copy of your resume or CV
  • Two letters of reference from academic or professional mentors
